HangTen Pricing and Financial Considerations

HangTen Volleyball LLC strives to provide the best club value to its parents and players.
The base fee for the 2008-2009 Hang Ten Power League season is $2450.00.
The base fee covers 4 important costs:
1. Coaching Salaries- Our coaching salaries for both Head Coaches and
Assistants are reasonable, but very competitive to ensure we can attract and
retain the best staff possible.
2. Gym Fees- Although we are able to get a good rate on gym space, this is still
one of the biggest expenses during our season.
3. Equipment- Hang Ten purchases top quality equipment for its coaches and
players.
4.) Membership with Velocity Sports Performance - at a very good rate with respect to a single membership.
5.) Power League Fees
6.) Uniforms
These base fees cover HangTen’s costs and any profit. Unlike most other clubs, there
are no hidden costs built into the travel and tournament billing. In the upcoming
2008-2009 season, HangTen will provide itemized billing so that parents may have visibility
into all season costs.
Additional costs: There will be additional costs to consider on a per team basis.
Additional costs may include:
• Tournament Entry Fees- Every tournament a team enters requires a team
fee of around $500-$900 per team.
• Travel and Lodging- This will vary with each tournament. As far as hotels,
our club provides all travel and booking for players, coaches, and
chaperones. We feel this is an important service since it promotes team
bonding and safety. We plan to always book our kids into hotels with
doors inside a hallway. Each room will have 3-4 kids rooming in it. We
always book 2 additional rooms per team; one for the coaching staff and
the other for the chaperone(s).
• Tournament Money- When traveling to a tournament we encourage our
chaperones to collect some money for the purchase of team snacks and
meals. Players are also encouraged to bring some spending money to
each tournament for small incidental expenses and/or souvenirs.
Airline travel will be handled by Quement Travel Agency. All other travel related reservations
are performed by an administrative person hired by HangTen. All travel that includes a hotel
stay will be billed with a service fee of 10% to help cover the administrative costs associated
with booking each team as a group. Although we cannot promise this as an exact price,
a rough estimate of the Power Leagues season costs, including the base fees,
should be:
12's -14's teams are approximately $3800.00 (Includes 2 qualifiers, Power League, Cal Kickoff, Presidents Day, Bayview). This does not include costs of Junior Olympics if we qualify.
15's & 16's teams are approximately $4500.00 (Includes 2-3 qualifiers, Power League, Cal Kickoff, Presidents Day, Bayview and Recruiting Assistance). This does not include costs of Junior Olympics if we qualify.
17's & 18's teams are approximately $5000.00 (Includes , Las Vegas, 2-3 qualifiers, Power League, Cal Kickoff, Presidents Day, Bayview and Recruiting Assistance). This does not include costs of Junior Olympics if we qualify.
Again these are approximates but the variances will come from changes in travel.
Each team will have approximately 2 airline tournaments: the Junior Olympics Qualifier’s and the Junior
Olympics (this year in Miami, Florida).
We continue to work hard to keep costs as reasonable for parents as possible. In doing
this, we have eliminated the idea of “padding” our billing as most clubs do. The trade-off
in eliminating the padding is that once a commitment is made by a player and
parents, regardless of situation, we have to hold each parent to their financial
commitment for the duration of the season even if a player has to withdraw from
the season. Although this may seem like a strict policy, you will find that other clubs
may charge $1000 more per player as an insurance policy to offset incidental situations.
We feel that the savings that we can pass on to our parents is worth the additional policy
that we ask our parents to adhere to – commit to a full season.
Payment Options are as follows:
• $2450.00 per person if paying with cash or check. If entire fee is paid during the
signup period, you will only be charged $2400.00 (a $50.00 savings).
o Payments can be made by check payable to HangTen Volleyball ;
or
• $2550.00 per person if paying with credit card. If entire fee is paid during the
signup period, you will only be charged $2450.00 (a $100.00 savings).
o If you decide to make individual installment payments with your credit
card, you will be charged a $20.00 processing fee per transaction.
Payment Schedule is as follows:
First Payment/Deposit = $1300.00 due upon your commitment to the club
(submitted with all required enrollment paperwork)
2nd Payment = $750.00 + travel, billed on January 15th 2009
3rd Payment = $400.00 + travel, billed on February 15th 2009
Supplemental Payment = Any payments as they pertain to Junior Olympics, etc.
You will receive a detailed invoice explaining your fees. The above payment schedule
prices reflect the base fees only. Bills may differ by team in amounts because we must
pay for travel at the beginning of the season. In the event we cannot bill you exact
prices, fees will be based off of last year’s prices for travel. If there is a difference in the
price you are billed and the actual cost, you will receive either a credit/bill for the correct
amount. Payment is expected to be on time (prior to travel). We will also ask for a
credit card to be on file with us to be used by HangTen to cover delinquent payments.
This means if you are late making a payment we will charge the card the amount due at that time.

All bills will be mailed out Net 15 (payable in 15 days). All club & travel fees need to be
paid in full no later than March 15, 2009. Delinquent payments are subject to finance
charges of no less than 5%. By signing this document on the lines provided below
